Living in the Presence of the Holy Spirit

Living in the Presence of the Holy Spirit

Father, Son and who? The Holy Spirit seems so untangible that sometimes we seem afraid of approaching the subject all together. But let’s check out what living in the presence of the Holy Spirit could be!

Jesus told his disciples:”And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. “(John 14:16-18)

Jesus did not abandon us when he ascended into heaven; Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be the presence of God in today’s world. Through the Holy Spirit we can experience God’s presence in our lives. Not only when we pray but also when we play.

As Jesus said the Holy Spirit will be in us. Through the Holy Spirit we can abide in God. God is still with us even though we can’t see God. But we can feel his presence, sometimes more than other times. It is important to remember that faith is not based on our feelings, faith is based on the promises of the Bible. Faith is an amazing gift from God.

Living in the Holy Spirit simply means that we live our lives in a relationship with God Almighty. We pray without ceasing empowered by the Holy Spirt. We read the Bible and the Holy Spirit opens our hearts and minds to understand God’s word. We bring our worries to God and receive peace and joy beyond understanding. When we stumble the Holy Spirit promts us to ask for forgiveness. As we grow in grace, the Holy spirit works within us and gradually changes us more and more into a person of grace. Closer we walk with God, more we start detecting divinity around us. Living in the Holy Spirit is an adventure in Christ. There is nothing better than that!

Gracious God,
Thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit!
Thank you for living in us.
Let us feel your presence in our lives.
Guide us to live more fully in you.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
