Lent is a blessed time: we can slow down and actively reflect on our spiritual journey.
But there’s also this, it’s not too late—
God’s personal Message!—
“Come back to me and really mean it!
Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!”
(Joel 2:12, MSG)
Lent is a blessed opportunity: we are called to turn back to God and intertwine faith into our lives.
Change your life, not just your clothes.
Come back to God, your God.
(Joel 2:13, MSG)
Lent is a blessed paradox: as we give up something we like, we receive something we did not even know we needed.
And here’s why: God is kind and merciful.
He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot,
This most patient God, extravagant in love,
always ready to cancel catastrophe.
Who knows? Maybe he’ll do it now,
maybe he’ll turn around and show pity.
Maybe, when all’s said and done,
there’ll be blessings full and robust for your God!
(Joel 2:12-14, MSG)
Thank you for being ever-faithful,
calling us back to you.
Help us to repent and really mean it.
Renew our spirit!
Show us the right path!
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Are you giving something up for Lent? Or are you taking something on for Lent?
Have a blessed lenten journey!
