Knock, knock! Who’s there?

Knock, knock! Who’s there?

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” (Rev. 3:20 NIV)

Jesus is knocking. Can you hear him? Or is your life too noisy?

Jesus is knocking. Will you open the door? Or are you too busy?

Lent is a perfect time to get an annual spiritual check-up. How is your hearing? How is your vision? How is your spiritual heart-beat? Are you doing OK?

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”(Matthew 11:27-30, MSG)

Can you hear him now? Then, open the door! Your savior is waiting for you!

Gracious God,
Thank you for knocking on our doors.
Thank you for calling our names.
Thank you for offering us yourself.
Help us to recover our lives with you.
Show us how to take a real rest.
Teach us the unforced rhytms of grace.
Teach us to live freely and lightly.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
