God Who Saves

God Who Saves

Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! What a wonderful message!
Happy Easter, everyone!

It’s Melodic Monday and the second day of Easter! So, today’s Christian contemporary song is GOD WHO SAVES by Caedmon’s Call. Words and music by Aaron Senseman.

The lyrics proclaims the essence of Easter:

There is life in the blood of the Lamb who was slain
There is power, there is power in His name

There is love pouring out of the wounds that were made

Pouring out, pouring over our shame

So praise the God who saves
Praise the God who bled

Praise the God who was nailed to a tree

And wore our sins upon His head

There is truth in His body, raised that third day
There is joy in a stone rolled away

There is hope pouring out of the tomb where He lay

Pouring out, pouring over the grave

For He lives that we too might live
And He loves that we might also love

And know the glory of God above

Praise the God who saves! Amazingly wonderful news for everyone! There really is power in Jesus’ name!He lives that we too might live, he loves that we might also love and know the glory of God above! AMEN

What spoke volumes to me this Easter is how the resurrection really is the big bang of Christianity. Without the resurrection there would not be a way back to God. Without the resurrection there wouldn’t be hope for hopeless. Without the resurrection there would not be a way out of despair.

But, because God resurrected Jesus Christ and won the death and the evil there is hope upon hope, grace upon grace and love upon love. Praise the Lord! Praise the God who saves! Alleluia! Because of the resurrection, we can feel – even when we suffer- the hope and the joy of everlasting life and love in Jesus Christ! That is so amazing that I am in awe of God and his amazing love, his amazing grace and his amazing plan to save everyone who believes in Jesus! The power of the resurrection is true! The power of the resurrection is an ultimate gesture of love!

I want to experience the power of resurrection daily. I want to walk closely to God and be led by the power of resurrection! I want to live in the power of resurrection! Yes, God! Bring it on! You are amazing, God! You are truly, truly amazing and far beyond what I can understand but bring your resurrection power on! I want to be yours and truly live in your grace! Yes, Lord! Thank you, Lord!!!

Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness.

I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it.(Phil. 3:8-11. MSG)

Gracious God,
You are truly amazing!
Alleluia!
Thank you for raising Jesus from the dead.
Thank you for saving us through Jesus.
Show us how to experience your resurrection power daily.
Show us how to truly live in your grace!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
