Great Is Thy Faithfulness


It’s Melodic Monday! Today I want to share with you one of my favorite hymns: Great is Thy Faithfulness performed by Cece Winans. There are three reasons why I chose this song. First, God truly is amazing and so faithful no matter how we behave. Second, his mercies are indeed new every morning. “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV) Third, we sure do need God and his grace every morning. The good news: there’s plenty of grace for everyone!

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Morning by morning new mercies I see.

  1. Thanks for posting Tom Chisholm's great hymn. (Today is the 144th anniversary of his birth.) I appreciated your comments as well. Yes, abundant grace for each day's need. God is faithful.
