Rethink Life with Jesus Christ

Rethink Life with Jesus Christ

How would your life be different if you would dare to “live as if Christ died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back tomorrow “(Martin Luther)? This question has been staying with me for quite a long time now. We are all called to rethink our life with Jesus Christ. Are we fully following him? Would you be ready to state like Jack Hyles “I’d rather die in the will of God than to live outside of it”?

Paul states: “I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! “(Phil 1:20-21, NIV).

Jesus tells us:“Don’t let this throw you. You trust God, don’t you? Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home. If that weren’t so, would I have told you that I’m on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live. And you already know the road I’m taking.” (John 14:3 MSG)

I strongly believe that Jesus indeed died on the cross, rose on the third day and will come again. We don’t need to know when Jesus is coming but we need to be always ready. Meanwhile, we are to serve God. Passionately, wholeheartedly, “as if Christ died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back tomorrow”.

Gracious God,
Thank you for preparing us the way back to you.
Thank you for knowing the past, the present, and the future.
Help us to dare to believe all your promises.
Equip us to serve you passionately wherever you send us.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Blessings to you, fellow pilgrim, as you search your way to live and serve passionately!
