Put Your Faith in Practice!

Put Your Faith in Practice!

“Remove Christ from the Scriptures and there is nothing left”, states Martin Luther. That is so true. Without Christ there would not be a way back to God. Without Christ there would not be life and more life to come. Without Christ we would be lost. That’s why I agree wholeheartedly with Paul writing:

For my part, I am going to boast about nothing but the Cross of our Master, Jesus Christ. Because of that Cross, I have been crucified in relation to the world, set free from the stifling atmosphere of pleasing others and fitting into the little patterns that they dictate. (Galatians 6:14, MSG)

What a wonderful gift of grace we have in Jesus. We just need to make sure we don’t take the gift granted. God is calling us into action. “We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in His Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives.”(Charles Spurgeon) God calls us, equips us and sends us out into the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Rick Warren tweeted a couple of days ago “Some dear friends think the GOSPEL can only be accepted. But Jesus & Paul modeled how to live it, serve it & share it daily.” Don’t just accept the gospel for yourself but live it, serve it and share it daily. Put your faith in practice!

Gracious God,
Strengthen us to be bold in Christ.
Teach us to boast only about the cross!
Equip us to love and serve you.
Guide us to put our faith in practice.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

  1. That is so very true if we take Christ out of the scriptures we have nothing at all. It amazes me that when I need my faith to be strong I see how the Lord will show me how I will put faith into other things. It's not always easy when it comes to faith because we tend to look at our circumstances instead of our faith in GOD. That is why there are times when I have to pray and ask Jesus to strengthen my faith. Not to say I don't trust Him but it can at times be wavy.

  2. Desiray,
Yes, we really need to focus on the Lord and not on our problems. God is the only one that can sustain us, redeem us and stengthen us. But in Him we really do have everything. Thanks for sharing your ponderings! Looking forward to being in touch with you.
    Abudant blessings!
