Because of Your Love

Because of Your Love

How does it feel to be the focus of God’s love? Astonishing, right? But it is true. For each and every one of us. Because of God’s love we can live in his grace. Because of God’s amazing love we can be made whole and holy.

We just need to separate God’s love from our circumstances. Happiness and easy life are not proof of God’s love. Hardships and rough patches on our journey are not signs that God’s love would have vanished from our lives. The promises of the Bible are valid every single day of our lives. We are the focus of God’s love!

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. (Eph. 1:3-6 , MSG)

God loves us forever no matter what happens to us, no matter what we do or leave undone. God loves us and has made us the focus of his love long before we were born. God wants to heal us and make us whole and holy by his love. What we do with his abundant blessings is up to us. Do we send them back or do we say yes for God’s love?

Too often we live under our privileges as children of God. We don’t abide in Jesus. We don’t believe in prayer. We forget that God truly loves us. We try to manage on our own without asking God’s help. We rough it even when it’s not necessary. Everything is possible through Christ. Because of God’s love we can. We need to claim the promises of the Bible and start acting like Christians. We are not orphans! We have a loving Father who wants to dwell in us and give us life and more life, love and more love!

I pray for your like Paul prayed for Ephesians (Eph.1: 16-18, MSG):

I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Why is so easy to forget that God truly loves us?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you celebrate God’s amazing love!
