Extraordinarily You!

Extraordinarily You!

Do you wholeheartedly believe that God Almighty loves you dearly? If you have any doubt of God’s amazing love for you or if you just want to be reaffirmed of the glorious fact devour this passage from Zephaniah:

The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing

as on a day of festival.
(Zephaniah 3:17-18, NRSV)

God's Perfect Love frees you to be extraordinarily you!

This mini love letter from God helps you to be extraordinarily you. When we are secure in God’s love we are secure in being ourselves. Because we’ve been created and claimed by God Almighty!

The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory.

First of all you need to remember that God is always with you. It does not matter if you can feel his presence or not. He is there. He is not distant or indifferent. He is a powerful warrior who saves and helps. He wants to be uniquely present in your very life. He has created you to be you and he wants to spend time with you because you are his beloved child. He wants to be extraordinarily present in your life. So that you could be extraordinarily you.

He will rejoice over you with gladness.

God will rejoice over you with sheer gladness! You are his child. He loves you with fierce passion! Just think that we can really give joy to God Almighty! (That also means that we can bring pain and sadness, of course. Lord, have mercy!) God loves you beyond your wildest dreams! In God’s heart you are extraordinarily wonderful. When you truly embrace God’s love for you it frees you to explore life being extraordinarily you.

He will renew you in his love.

God loves you just as you are but he wants so much more for you. He wants to renew you by his love. God wants to make you as holy as he is holy. He wants you to bask in his grace and be changed inside out by his grace. God does not want you to be anything less than what he created you to be. That’s why he keeps on working on you in his love. Because he wants you to be extraordinarily you.

He will exult over you with loud singing
as on a day of festival.

God’s love for us is exuberant. He truly loves each of us. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for us. As we know he gave even his own son to die for us so we could be made right with him. God is committed to get us into the right relationship with him and keep us there. God wants to be in love relationship with us. He wants to lavish us with his gifts: love upon love, grace upon grace.

God will exult over you when you dare to believe you are his precious child whom he loves dearly.
God will exult over you when you respond to him in love and pass on his love to those around you.
God will exult over you when you dare to love yourself and be exuberantly you.

Gracious God,
Thank you for your exuberant love for each of us.
Be extraordinarily present in our lives.
Let your love really sink in our hearts.
Enable us to be extraordinarily whom you created us to be.
Let your love permeate every cranny and nook of our inner beings.
Guide us clearly to do the good works you’ve prepared for us to do.
Pour out love upon love and grace upon grace
until our lives brim with your love and joy.
Enable us to bring much joy to you.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: You bring joy to the Lord. How does that make you feel?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you embrace God’s love for you. Be extraordinarily you!

  1. It took me awhile in my Christian walk to get this. God delights over me??? But that’s what His Word says, so it must be true. What a beautiful post, Mari-Anna.

I LOVE this!!!!  And sometimes when He’s working on us it hurts. But we can rest in the knowledge that he is refining us to make us more like Him. Thanks for such a great word!

Thanks, also for linking up today with Koinonia Thursdays!!!

  3. My dear friend gave me that passage so many years ago. I appreciate how you broke it in parts so that we could discover the whole! It’s me heart’s cry that my children grasp this exuberant grace and abundant love — and that he takes us and renews us!! Such grace, it makes it difficult to breathe. Blessings! – Alyssa

    1. Thanks you, Alyssa! Your heart’s cry is beautifully expressed as a prayer in Eph.3:14-. I try to pray it often for me, my family and people I meet through my ministry. Such grace that it truly takes your breath away. In a good way. God bless you & yours!

  4. Thank you for such an encouraging post, sometimes I forget how much God really does love me. Crazy I know.. I needed the reminder. God is amazing.

    1. Thank you, Misty, for your comment. We all do need reminders of God’s abundant love for us. The enemy tries to keep us from God’s love but he is not gonna win. God is awesome and all powerful. He will keep us close to Him. BLESSINGS!

  5. Stopping over from the Koinonia link up at Chelsey’s place.  This post really ministered to my heart.  Thank you.  I am your newest follower!
