Weekend Prayer Wall {Dec. 17-18}

Weekend Prayer Wall {Dec. 17-18}

Faced with a pile of problems, we may say with our lips that only prayer can solve them, yet we talk more than pray, worry more than pray, and scheme more than pray. In sum, we put everything before prayer; other things are placed in prominent positions while prayer is relegated to last place; it is the only thing which is not so important. ~Watchman Nee

“You can do more than pray after you have prayed; but you can never do more than pray until you have prayed.” ~ A.J. Gordon

Don’t be anxious about anything; rather bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7, CEB)

Don’t hesitate to be enthusiastic—be on fire in the Spirit as you serve the Lord! Be happy in your hope, stand your ground when you’re in trouble, and devote yourselves to prayer.(Romans 12: 11-12, CEB)

~~~~~       ~~~~~     ~~~~~
O God of My Delight,
Your throne of grace is the delight of my soul.
Here I obtain mercy in time of need,
here I see the smile of your reconciled face,
here joy pleads the name of Jesus,
here I sharpen the sword of the Spirit,
anoint the shield of faith,
put on the helmet of salvation,
gather manna from your Word,
am strengthened for each conflict,
nerved for the upward race,
empowered to conquer every foe;
Help me to come to Christ
as the source of heavenly favor,
as a wide open flood-gate of mercy.
I am stunned by my absolute foolishness,
that with so many blessings within my reach
I am slow to extend my hand to take them.
Have mercy upon my deadness for your Name’s sake.
Awaken me, stir me, fill me with holy zeal.
Strengthen me that I may cling to you and not let you go.
May your Spirit within me draw all blessings from your hand.
When I am not advancing, I backslide.
Let me walk humbly because of good omitted and evil done.
Impress on my mind the shortness of time,
the work to be engaged in,
the account to be rendered,
the nearness of eternity,
the fearful sin of despising your Spirit.
May I never forget that your eye always sees,
your ear always hears,
your recording hand always writes.
May I never give you rest until Christ is the pulse of my heart;
the spokesman of my lips, the lamp of my feet.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s pray in Jesus’ name!
Now it’s time for you to jump in with your prayers/prayer requests in the comment section.  Let’s also pray for each other! Someone will pray for you/with you. (Because this is a global prayer wall, sometimes – due to the time differences – prayers are not instant. But know that God hears you 24/7! BLESSINGS!
  1. Dear God,
    I pray for peace among Christmas preparations.
    Give us wisdom to see what is important and what is not.
    Help us to see that only YOU make Christmas perfect.
    Help us to see that only YOU can give us our hearts’ desires.
    Help us to pass on the joy of salvation this season.
    Come, Lord Jesus!
    Come and be born in our hearts!
    Come and change us!
    Bless each of us according to our needs.
    May Your will happen in our lives.
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen
  2. I would welcome others to join me in prayers for the school where I am a Governor.  Please pray for peace, love, truth and for God to out pour his spirit on everyone, so that his will may be done.
    This is a fabulous idea, although not posted before, be assured I have prayed for those who have asked for it.
    1. Dear God,
      You know the school Tracey asked us to pray for. We ask that you pour out your Holy Spirit on everyone at the school: teachers, staff, students, parents. Guide, protect, teach, prepare. Thank you, Jesus! May your will be done in each of their lives. Bless them according to their needs. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
    1. Dear God,
      We pray for healing for this person. You know all the suffering and pain, Lord. Pour out healing rain! This person is expecting a miracle…we ask that you will completely heal and take all the pain away. Let this person know your strong and healing presence. Lord, hear our prayer! Thank you, Jesus, that you are in miracle business and you are the ultimate healer! In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
  3. Please pray for my mom Thea, age 75, who lives in Germany and is in the hospital there. She was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer and it has spread to her lungs.  I live in Tennessee.  Need to get a passport and fly over there to be with her for a few weeks.  Praying for her healing and for God to provide the money for a ticket.  My husband is not working, he had a massive heart attack, and we have 5 children at home with us.  Thank you!
    1. Dear God,
      Thank you that we can come to you with all our concerns. Now we want to uplift to you Thea who is seriously ill. Be with her, let her feel your presence. Most of all, heal her. We also pray for Karin and her family. Continue to heal her husband, bless the children while their mom is away. Provide for all their needs, Lord. Arrange the ticket, the passport, everything that is needed. Thank you, Jesus, that you are in control of this situation. Thank you that you will give wisdom, strength as needed. Also, we pray that the joy of Christmas would be born in their hearts in a very special way this Christmas. May thy will be done in all this. Bless them according to their needs. Give them all peace in the midst of everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen
  4. Dear Heavenly Father,
    I just want to thank you for this gift of prayer!
    Thank you for wanting to have a intimate relationship with us!
    Thank you for listening and blessings us.
    Bless each and every one who has visited/is visiting this prayer wall.
    Take care of our needs and equip us to live in your grace
    and share your love and grace with others.
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen
  5. I ask for your prayers to give me clear understanding, unwavering trust and Faith, and hope in our Lord to answer my prayers. I’m so very eager to know God and his Son, and surrender my life to them. I’m blessed in so many ways, but my pain and worry from unemployment can only be lightened by taking the yoke of my Savior. I reach out my hand, with desperate hope that Christ Jesus will wrap His around it and lead me finally, on the right path.
    Ken
    1. Dear God,
      We ask your abundant blessings to Ken. Pour out grace upon grace! Ken wants to know you deeply and personally. Show him who you really are. Let him feel your strong presence in his life. Guide him clearly, teach him gently, love him extravagantly! Help him to surrender everything to you and dare to trust, hope, and believe in you. Bless him according to his needs, show him your plans for his life. Thank you, Jesus, for loving and caring him so deeply. Guide him to find Christian friends (and anything else he needs) to help him to continue to grow in you. We leave Ken to you knowing that you are mighty and you are delighted to answer Ken’s yearning to truly know you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
