Weekend Prayer Wall {Dec. 3-4}

Weekend Prayer Wall {Dec. 3-4}

 The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity. If we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God’s standing challenge, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not!” ~J. Hudson Taylor

LORD my God, listen to your servant’s prayer and request, and hear the cry and prayer that your servant prays to you today.  (1 Kings 8: 16, CEB)28, CEB)

 The prayer of the righteous person is powerful in what it can achieve. (James 5: 16, CEB)

~~~~~       ~~~~~     ~~~~~
O Holy Spirit of God,
abide with us; inspire all our thoughts;
pervade our imaginations; suggest all our decisions;
order all our doings.
Be with us in our silence and in our speech,
in our haste and in our leisure,
in company and in solitude,
in the freshness of the morning
and in the weariness of the evening;
and give us grace at all times
humbly to rejoice in Thy mysterious companionship.
(John Baillie)
I ask you, Lord Jesus,
To develop in me, your lover,
an immeasurable urge toward you,
an affection that is unbounded,
a longing that is unrestrained,
a fervour that throws discretion to the winds!
The more worthwhile our love for you,
all the more pressing does it become
Reason cannot hold it in check,
fear does not make it tremble,
wise judgement does not temper it.
(Richard Rolle)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s pray in Jesus’ name!
Now it’s time for you to jump in with your prayers/prayer requests in the comment section.  Let’s also pray for each other! Someone will pray for you/with you. (Because this is a global prayer wall, sometimes – due to the time differences – prayers are not instant. But know that God hears you 24/7! BLESSINGS!
  1. Dear God,
    How wonderful it is to bask in your grace.
    Shine on us!
    How lovely it is to feel your love.
    Embrace us!
    How amazing it is to be guided by you.
    Direct our paths!
    How delightful it is to serve you.
    Energize us!
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen
  2. Please pray for my son, Joshua, that he will turn back to the Lord and get his life on track for the future.  Thank y’all so much.
    1. Dear God,
      We pray for Joshua. You know him and love him. Draw him back to you, Lord! Let him see that you are the Giver of Real Life. Do your miracles, Lord! Turn him back to you! Give him life and future in you. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen
    2. Lord, thank you for your extravagant love. I pray that Joshua would experience your persistent care for him and that he would be overwhelmed by Your goodness, love, and grace to him. Only You know him completely and only You can soften his heart and draw him lovingly back to you; we ask that you would do that, Lord. We also pray for Joshua’s mother, friends, and other family members, that they would be patient with him and that they too would be loving and gracious towards him. Strengthen them according to Your word and encourage their hearts so that they would put their trust fully in You and in Your promises. Lord, we ask for peace for Joshua’s mother, that she would not worry or experience anxiety about her son’s future, but that she would rest assured that Joshua is in Your capable hands and that You long for Joshua to turn back to You even more than she does. Thank you for the opportunity to wait on You (even when it’s difficult!) and to know You more intimately, both through Your word and through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving us the right to become Your children and for giving us countless good gifts and blessings every day. We love you and we praise You for who You are and for all that You’ve already done for us. In Jesus’ powerful and holy name, we pray. Amen.
  3. Dear God,
    I bring to you our son, Joel, who fell and hit his head
    and had to be taken to the emergency room.
    Be with him and his dad.
    Guide the doctors to make the right decisions.
    Thank you that I can bring this matter to you.
    Thank you that you are in control of this situation.
    Heal Joel in Jesus’ name,
    Amen
    1. Please, keep on praying! It’s concussion. He was admitted into the hospital for surveillance. They will keep on waking him up throughout the night. Joel is with his dad and they have a private room but it’s still odd for a kid. I wish I could be there but I am at home with our daughter.
      Dear God, bless Joel (&all of us) and give us your peace. Heal him, Lord. Bless the docs and nurses involved to be alert to anything that needs to be seen. We praise you for being in charge of all this. Thank you for your loving care. In Jesus’ name, Amen
      Thank you for your prayers! God is good – all the time!
      1. Father, we pray for comfort and rest in You for this precious family. Lord, we ask that you would reveal anything that needs to be examined and that the doctors and nurses would be both diligent and loving in their care for Joel. God, we thank you that Joel’s dad could be there with him and that Mari-Anna could be with their daughter: that even though they couldn’t all be together at the hospital, each child could be with a parent. Lord, we rejoice that even in the midst of uncertainty, You are unchanging and You are worthy of our praise, our trust, our lives, and our all. Thank you that we can come to You with anything that we face, good or bad: our joys, blessings, and successes as well as our fears, doubts, concerns, burdens, and weaknesses. Thank you for accepting us as we are and for running out to meet us on the road. We take heart that you are close to the brokenhearted and that you heal those who are crushed in spirit. Revive our spirits, Lord, and allow us to rest peacefully in you. In Jesus’ all-sufficient name, we pray. Amen.
        1. I join in Sara’s prayer and praise God that Joel got through the night okay! Please, dear God, continue to heal him. We ask for complete recovery in Jesus’ name, Amen
          UPDATE: Joel got through the night ok! He still has headache and some other problems, so let’s continue to pray for him. But he sounded (on the phone) so much better than yesterday! Praise God! We’re hoping that he will be released today. A doc needs to examine him first, of course.
          THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
          THANK YOU, GOD, FOR BEING A STRONG FORTRESS IN ANY STORM!
          THANK YOU, GOD, FOR HEALING JOEL AND BEING WITH HIM THROUGH ALL THIS!
          1. UPDATE: We just got home from the hospital!!! Joel is doing well, little headache but that’s obvious. He should be fully recovered in a few days. Praise the Lord! Thank you so much for praying for Joel and our family. It does make a difference! 🙂
    2. Lord, we stand in agreement with Mari-Anna. We rejoice that You are our sovereign Healer and we entrust Joel into Your care. Please grant the doctors, nurses, and other caregivers wisdom and compassion as they seek to diagnose, treat, and care for Joel. We ask for strength and peace for his parents as they support, encourage, and care for him. We pray that others would come alongside them to offer prayers, support, and practical help as needed. Father, we ask for a full and speedy recovery for Joel and that there wouldn’t be any permanent problems as a result of this fall. Thank you for caring for each one of us so deeply and for working all things together for our good. In Jesus’ strong and healing name, we pray. Amen.
  4. Please continue to join with me in prayer for my chronic health problems and for decisions that I need to make about what to do next year and how to get there. Thank you all in advance! Grace and peace to all of you!
    1. Dear God, I bring to your dear daughter Sara. She needs your healing touch in her life. Bless her abundantly according to all her needs, known and unknown. Guide her clearly, Lord. Guide her clearly. Show her what are your plans for her next year. Open the right doors, close the wrong ones. Let her know that you are in control of all the aspects of her life. Bless her beyond her wildest dreams. Thank you, Jesus, for your loving care. In Jesus’ name, Amen
  5. Gracious God,
    My heart is full of gratitude tonight.
    Thank you for watching over Joel,
    healing him and blessing him.
    Thank you that this experience seems
    to strengthen him instead of making him fearful.
    You are truly amazing!
    Thank you that we can rest in you
    in the midst of life’s storms.
    Thank you that you are near to us,
    that you care for each of us.
    We thank you and praise you!
    Continue to keep us in your grace.
    Revive us for your service!
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen
