Grace According to Your Needs

Grace According to Your Needs

Jesus the Healer
Are you in need of grace? Good for you, the most difficult step is to recognize your need of grace. Because God has plenty of grace to give you and he loves to pour more and more grace on you. Over and over again. There’s grace for every need and every situation. However, we can’t store up grace. We need to ask and receive grace every single day of our lives. But there’s plenty of it. God will -with gladness- fill us to the full according to our needs.

And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19, AMP)

God wants us to serve others but he will never send someone who is weary, sick or otherwise burdened. To them Jesus says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] (Matthew 11:28, AMP)

There’s grace for every need and situation. If you are in need of rest, God will give you restful grace. If you are in need of healing, God will give you healing grace. No matter what are you needs, God has grace for you. God wants to ease, relieve, and refresh your body, soul, and mind. But as J.H. Jowett has said “God does not comfort us to make us comfortable but to make us comforters”.

Directly on leaving the meeting place, they came to Simon and Andrew’s house, accompanied by James and John. Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed, burning up with fever. They told Jesus. He went to her, took her hand, and raised her up. No sooner had the fever left than she was up fixing dinner for them. (Mark 1:29-31, MSG)

God will indeed give us rest and healing according to our needs. But then he will send us to serve others. Not to punish us but because serving others also fulfills our other needs. Human beings desire meaning, purpose and direction for their lives. And serving others blesses us by giving us just that: meaning, purpose, and direction. Once again grace according to our needs. That’s what happened to Simon Peter’s mother-in-law. She was not only healed but restored back to her calling: showing hospitality to guests in her home.

So. Where are you today? What are you needs? What kind of grace do you need today? Are you in need of care? Or are you in need of a calling? Both needs are valid and equal. No matter what are your needs, God has grace for you. Just bring yourself to God and ask. God will pour out grace upon grace according to your needs. You don’t even need to know what you need. Just come. God loves you and knows you and your needs better than you do. God has always grace according to your needs.

Gracious God,
You are truly so amazing.
Be praised forever and ever!
We come to you as we are
and ask that you bless us
according to our needs.
Pour out grace upon grace!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

  1. Well, today I had a lesson in faith!  When my blog was deleted by some unknown person I prayed to God for courage, strength and wisdom to know how to handle the situation.  He graciously gave me all three!  So, the grace that God lavished on me today was increased faith! For through the opposition I had this morning, He showed me the blessing that comes through believing Him for what He says He will do!  We are more than conquerors through Christ!

    Blessings, Joan

    1. What a faith adventure, Joan! Thanks for sharing and letting us be part of the process. God is mighty! Nothing is impossible to God. And if God is with us who can be against us? May God continue to lavish his grace on you! May he protect you from any spiritual attacks! BLESSINGS!

My need today is for the grace to see myself and others through God’s eyes and not my own. Its a simple prayer that I might know the joy of the creator in meeting each of his children. Too often I see the current status and struggles and not the child of God redeemed by grace and meant by God the Father to live free in the joy of knowing the Lord as Father, savior, and comforter.
    May that grace transform me.
    Peace to you, John

    1. You’re already so blessed, John, to desire to see with the eyes of God. Because God adores to answer these kinds of prayers! Thank you for sharing your struggles. Together the children of God can be strong in Him.

May God transform you and pour out grace upon grace! May God let you see everyone and everything with His eyes! May God also give you grace according to your unknown needs. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
