Weekend Prayer Wall {Oct. 20-21}

Prayer Changes Things!
No one can believe how powerful prayer is and what it can effect, except those who have learned it by experience. Whenever I have prayed earnestly, I have been heard and have obtained more than I prayed for. God sometimes delays, but He always comes.~ Martin Luther

Prayer is the open admission that without Christ we can do nothing. And prayer is the turning away from ourselves to God in the confidence that He will provide the help we need. Prayer humbles us as needy and exalts God as wealthy. ~ John Piper

As we wait and pray, God weaves his story and creates a wonder. Instead of drifting between comedy (denial) and tragedy (reality), we have a relationship with the living God, who is intimately involved with the details of our worlds. We are learning to watch for the story to unfold, to wait for the wonder.~ Paul E. Miller

Prayer works! Prayer changes things! God is listening. Let’s pray!

Dear God,
You are more wonderful than we can imagine.
You are more loving than we can understand.
You are more powerful than we can imagine.
Come into our lives!
Come and change what needs to be changed!
Come and heal what needs to be healed!
Come and renew what needs to be renewed!
Come into our lives!
Come and create beauty out of chaos!
Come and fill our hearts with you!
Come and embrace us with your grace!
We love you and we adore you.
We praise you forever and ever.
Thank you for being in control of our lives.
Thank you for answering to us.
Thank you for being You!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s pray in Jesus’ name!

Write your own prayer or leave a prayer request in the comment section or if you are a blogger link up your own prayer post. Feel free to pray for each other. Just know that someone will pray for you/with you. But because this is a global prayer wall, sometimes – due to the time differences – prayers are not instant. But know that God hears you 24/7! May God touch your heart in a profound way and bless you according to your needs and His plan.

  1. Yes, Lord, come! What a privilege it is to stand before you, offering our prayers to you. I love that you invite us into relationship with you! Thank you, Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.

  2. Prayers for all the lost, misguided, abused children all over the world, may God’s unconditional love & mercy be with them.

  3. Prayer changes things indeed- last week I asked for prayer for Kieran for Hope for his future and God has answered….praising him.
May I ask for prayer for Mary, who is battling health issues and a deep oppression because of having to visit her elderly mother in a rest home each week- and this relationship is fraught with constant unloving comments from Margaret, her mother.
I will pray for others who have posted, also. God Bless you ALL.

    1. How wonderful, Mary! Praise the Lord indeed! Thank you for sharing this praise report. Makes my heart glad! May God continue to bless both of you!

Dear God, we pray for Mary and her mother Margaret. Bring healing to this relationship, Lord. Ignite love in their hearts. Bring your healing grace to Mary. Give her strength, hope and joy. Let her feel your strong presence in her life. Show her how to live in your peace no matter what happens. Thank you that you are in control of Mary’s life. Protect her from all evil. In Jesus’ name, Amen
