Do You Know How Much God Loves You?

Do You Know How Much God Loves You?

Say YES to GOD!

Do you know how much God loves you? Do you know that you are God’s beloved? Because that is your true identity. Don’t believe me? Read on.

God’s favorite word is yes. God says yes to you. Over and over again. And God’s yes is not valid just when you are doing well. God loves all of you. The bad and the ugly. The good and the beautiful. Everything. God speaks yes to you in Jesus.

Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete. (2 Cor. 1:20-22, MSG)

God keeps saying yes to you throughout your life. God keeps saying yes as he restores you. God’s yes is an eternal pledge to you. Nothing will change his mind. You are loved. You are cherished. By God Almighty!

When you embrace your belovedness, you start to understand something of God’s love for you. With the words of  David G. Benner “What a different relationship begins to develop when you realize that God is head-over-heels in love with you. God is simply giddy about you. He just can’t help loving you. And he loves you deeply, recklessly and extravagantly-just as you are.”

How extravagant is God’s love!
How amazing is God’s grace!
How wonderful is that!

Wow. What shall we do with all that love? We respond to it by “faith [which] is the yes of the heart, a confidence on which one stakes one’s life” as Martin Luther once put it. That’s what we are going to do. We are going to live out our faith. We are going to live in God’s love. And the more we share God’s love, the more love we will have. God’s love will never run out.

Gracious God,
Thank you for choosing us
and loving us,
for always saying yes to us.
We love you and praise you.
You are the fountain of life and love.
Enable us to live in your love and
share your love with everyone we encounter.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: How has God’s love changed you?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you share and live in God’s love!
