Claim the Key to Know God

Claim the Key to Know God

the key to know God

There is a need within each of us to know God. We search to know God whether we realize it or not. There are a lot of New Age stuff going on that offer different ways to find God. But the Bible tells us that there is only one way to God: Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!” (John 14:6-7, MSG)

Jesus is the only key we have to really know God. Too often, people leave their key unclaimed or abandoned. It’s given for them freely and without any charge. But sometimes it is seen as too cheap. People don’t like charity. People want to earn their keep, master themselves, feel their worth. But that’s not the way to God. The only way is Jesus.

But it is harder to surrender to God, proclaim your worthlessness and beg for forgiveness than pressing on your own pursuits of holiness. It is harder to admit that you’re not perfect and need a Savior than keeping on like before. But once you’ve embraced Christ, received grace and found peace in the Father’s arms you would not go back to your old ways. You would not change the freedom in Christ for anything. Nothing compares to it.

God has provided us the key to get back home to him. That key is Jesus Christ. Have you claimed the key yet? I highly recommend it. Nothing compares to knowing God.

Gracious God,
Thanks for providing us the key back to you.
Thank you for Jesus!
Thank you for salvation and eternal hope in you.
Help us to be bold in sharing Jesus with others.
Enable us to be robust in love and always live in your grace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Have you claimed the key to know God? How has it blessed you?
