The Power of Worship

The Power of Worship

the power of worship
Do you know what to do when your inner accuser blames you for this or that?
Do you know how to show the door to the devil?
Do you know how to deal with doubts or inconveniences?

Just worship.
For real.
The power of worship is beyond this world.
For real.

What a stack of blessing you have piled up
    for those who worship you,
Ready and waiting for all who run to you
    to escape an unkind world.
(Psalm 31:19, MSG)

When we start worshiping God, the enemy fleas.
When we worship in the midst of doubts, peace settles in.
When we praise God in difficult circumstances, we are on the winner’s side.

With the words of A.B. Simpson “Begin to rejoice in the Lord, and your bones will flourish like an herb, and your cheeks will glow with the bloom of health and freshness. Worry, fear, distrust, care-all are poisonous! Joy is balm and healing, and if you will but rejoice, God will give power.”

Hence….when you don’t know how to act, what to do…just worship.
For real. Worship is a direct line to God Almighty.

When we worship, we remember that we are his beloved.
When we praise God, our doubts are taken away.

When we worship, the enemy gets booted.
When we praise God, the devil is reminded he is not welcome here.

When we worship, the Spirit of God works in us, for us, through us.
When we praise God, nothing is impossible.

Experience the power of worship. And not just that. Make your life to be about worship. Like Brother Lawrence has said “The end we ought to propose to ourselves is to become, in this life, the most perfect worshippers of God we can possibly be, as we hope to be through all eternity.”

Gracious God,
Thank you for giving us the gift of worship.
Thank you for being always there for us.
Fill us with your Spirit.
Be praised forever and ever!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Have you experienced the power of worship?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you worship through life!

  1. I couldn’t agree more! When we praise and worship God, our focus shifts from ourselves and the lies from the enemy, to God. 🙂
    Visiting from Thought Provoking Thursday.
