Such a Jesus

Such a Jesus

Such a Jesus

How are you doing? What kind of needs or concerns do you have today? I hope you take time to turn to God with your worries. Because in Jesus you find what you’re looking for.

My God will meet your every need out of his riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus. (Phil.4:19, CEB,*)

Jesus is everything we need and so much more. He is our redeemer, our Messiah. He is our healer, our savior. He gives us life, love, hope, joy, and peace. Such a Jesus.

24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were going astray like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian (the Bishop) of your souls. (1 Peter 2:24-25, AMP,*)

Jesus personally suffered for you and me on the cross, that we might live forever with God.
Such a Jesus.

Jesus personally embraces us with his grace, that we might have everything we need.
Such a Jesus.

Jesus personally helps us on the right path, that we might be fully alive.
Such a Jesus.

Jesus personally prays for you and me, that we can live boldly here and now.
Such a Jesus.

Because we have such a Jesus as our helper…what do we do when disasters strike and troubles seems insurmountable? We turn to Jesus. There’s nothing we can’t bring to Jesus.

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. (1 Peter 5:7, AMP,*)

Because we have such a Jesus as our guide, we don’t despair in the midst of hardships.
Such a Jesus.

Because we have such a Jesus as our Lord, we rejoice in the face of difficulty.
Such a Jesus.

Because we have such a Jesus as our friend, we live joyfully and free.
Such a Jesus.

Gracious God,
We are in awe of your your love and care for us.
Thank you for giving us Jesus
as our savior, redeemer, prince of peace.
Thank you for giving us Jesus
as our Lord, helper and guide.
Thank you that your awesomeness is even more
than we can understand.
I don’t have anything to give you but myself
but how gladly I receive everything you have for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Be praised forever and ever.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: What do you love most about Jesus?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you praise Jesus forever and ever!

* [As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading the Bible in different translations and love comparing them. I have started linking the Bible verses to Biblegateway.com so you can easily read (and compare) them in the different versions I’ve used while preparing each post.]

  1. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. There are so many things that I love about HIm but what comes to mind first is that his love never fails. I am so grateful.
