Jesus is the Key

Jesus is the Key

22556_Jesus_is_the_AnswerThis is just a short – and hopefully sweet – reminder to not forget Jesus. Because Jesus is the key to all the locks. Jesus is the answer to all the questions. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. According to Jesus “No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6, CEB).

That’s why I have to ask: How long has it been that you’ve confessed that Jesus is the Son of God?

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (John 5:4-5, NLT)

Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God have eternal life.
Only those who believe Jesus is God’s son are victorious.
Only those who rely on the fact that Jesus is Messiah are familiar with the conquering power that brings the world to its knees.

Anyone who confesses (acknowledges, owns) that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives, makes His home) in him and he [abides, lives, makes his home] in God. (1 John 4:15, AMP)

Jesus is the key to make our home in God. There’s no other way into God’s presence. There’s no other way to be right with God. There’s no other way to live forever.

Why then do we so often forget about Jesus? We talk about God and spirituality but we shy away from talking about Jesus. But Jesus is the key to everything. Whether we wanted it or not.

Gracious God,
You are truly amazing.
You provide everything for us
to be made right with you.
Thank you for sending Jesus
to live for us,
to die for us,
to rose for us.
Empower us to live for you,
to boldly confess that Jesus is your beloved son.
Thank you for allowing us to make our home in you.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen

Q4U: How long has it been that you’ve confessed that Jesus is the Son of God? How do you live out your faith in Jesus?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you make your home in God!

  1. We were in a small group discussion last night, and my husband made a comment along the lines of your post, about Jesus being the main point of it all. Thank you, Mari-Anna, for sticking so close to that central message. We can never hear it too often. Have a blessed week!

    1. Yes, we all need to keep getting back to the cross, back to Jesus over and over again. There’s no other source of life. Thank you, Lisa, for visiting & commenting. Always a blessing. May you (and yours) continue to be blessed beyond measure!

  2. Amen.
I’ve spoken we a few Christians lately about this…seems satan has been doing a good job at getting Christians for shy away from talking about Christ and the cross. for some reason they feel more comfortable talking about God and love.

but without Christ, without the cross there is no Salvation.

    Great post

  3. I was really shy to talk about my faith. And always kept saying that faith is personal matter, we should not hit people on the head with our Bibles, or we shouldn’t force our beliefs to others. Until I decided to get out of my prayer closet.
It was hard but more you live your faith, more people respect you for it. And it becomes a natural part of you, so that people don’t even question it. And you don’t need to force it to anyone, you just live your faith, true every day. And confess that Jesus is the Lord, each and every day.

  4. Yes I have confessed Jesus as my sweet Savior and Lord. For the first time 34 years ago through salvation…..greatest day of my life. I live out my faith by loving God and telling others about him. By caring for the needy, the orphans and the widows that I know. In between that I fall down and mess up and give into my selfish flesh but by God’s grace and sweet forgiveness he pulls me back up and he uses me again. Awww such an amazing Father we have.
