Today I’ve been marveling at three verses in Saint Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians and wanted to write a blog post based on those verses. Then I realized I’ve already written two different posts on it. I enjoyed rereading them. I needed to read them today. I hope you do too.
The first one is called God loves every part of you. “We are children of God and God loves every one of us. God loves not just our Sunday best but every part of us. He doesn’t divide us into the loveable and the unlovable parts. He just loves us. It really does sound too good to be true. God’s love is astonishing but nonetheless true. He created us and loves what he created. There’s nothing he would not do for us. Just think of Calvary. If you ever doubt God’s love just think of the cross and the resurrection. God went all the way to be able to get you back in touch with him…read more here.”
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete. (2 Cor. 1:20-22, MSG)
The second one is called Do you know how much God loves you? “Do you know how much God loves you? Do you know that you are God’s beloved? Because that is your true identity. Don’t believe me? Read on. God’s favorite word is yes. God says yes to you. Over and over again. And God’s yes is not valid just when you are doing well. God loves all of you. The bad and the ugly. The good and the beautiful. Everything. God speaks yes to you in Jesus….read more here.”
You are God’s beloved. No ifs. No buts. There’s no doubt in God’s mind that you are his beloved child. He created you and he redeemed you and he is ready to pour out grace upon grace and love upon love. What do you need to do? Just open your heart and receive God’s blessings. Bask in his grace. Revel in his love. Shout for joy. Dance a happy dance. It’s true and nothing will ever change it: God loves you.
You are so good to me.
Thank you for your love.
Thank you for your grace.
Show me how to live in your love
and share it with everyone I meet.
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Do you know how much you are loved by God Almighty?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you embrace the fact that God loves you more than you can ever know!Pin It
