Celebrate God!

Celebrate God!

Celebrate God!Do you remember to celebrate God and salvation in your every day life? Or do you take your faith and God’s blessings granted?

Way too often we take the good things in our lives – spouses, friends, family, work, peace, health – granted. That ungratefulness leads us to all kinds of troubles. But how much more trouble can be created if we take God granted?

We need to remember God and all he has done for us. We need to celebrate God and praise him every day. God went to lot of trouble to get us out of death and dying. He sent his only son to die for us so we could have eternal life. The least we can do is to not take grace granted. It does not cost anything to us but it was costly indeed to God.

So celebrating God is appropriate daily. It does not mean that our life would be always peachy, far from it. But it means that we acknowledge the fact that all is well in Christ. We are heirs of loving God and on our way home. This is worth of celebrating when it rains cats and dogs and when there’s no cloud in sight.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him];
Shout for joy, all you upright in heart. (Psalm 32:11, AMP,*)

You who are righteous, rejoice in the Lord and be glad!
All you whose hearts are right, sing out in joy!
(Psalm 32:11, CEB,*)

Celebrate God.
    Sing together—everyone!
All you honest hearts, raise the roof!
(Psalm 32:11, MSG,*)

God is good, all the time. Let’s revel in God. Let’s celebrate!

Gracious God,
Forgive us for taking you or your grace granted.
Thank you for the gift of faith.
Enable us to revel in you and celebrate you
every day of our lives.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: How do you celebrate God in your every day life?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you revel in God all the days of your life!

* [As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading the Bible in different translations and love comparing them. I have started linking the Bible verses to Biblegateway.com so you can easily read (and compare) them in the different versions I’ve used while preparing each post.].

  3. ooh, celebrate God…I like that. <3 Hmmm, I think my answer is probably through gratitude. I try to live a thankful life before Him. So grateful to Him for the little things and the big things. 🙂 Thanks for sharing, Mari-Anna. ((blessings))
