Blossoming Life
I was searching for Bible verses including the word ‘green’ and got a spiritual jolt while reading the Message version of Matthew 3:10. How about you? Does this jolt you into awareness of your own responsibility for blossoming life?
What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire. (Matthew 3:10, MSG)
Is your life green and blossoming? Or is it deadwood. Or something in between? I think we all want a blossoming life. And if it’s not, it’s time to make some changes, don’t you think?
Thankfully, we are not alone in this. It’s not up to us to force our life to look green. But it is up to us to seek Jesus. Because he is the only way to blossoming life. Blessedly, he is ready to help.
When we cling to Jesus, we are alive and well.
When we abide in Jesus, we bear fruit.
When we focus on Jesus, our life is green and blossoming.
That’s what I want. I want my life to count. I want blossoming life. Hence I seek Jesus with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind. Because that is the recipe for blossoming life. Why don’t you join me?
Gracious God,
Thank you for giving me spiritual jolts.
Thank you for your Living Word.
I really do want to bear fruit.
I really do want my life to count.
I really do want blossoming life.
I seek you with everything I’ve got, Lord.
Let me find you.
Let me know you.
Let me love you.
Bless me, Lord.
Make my life green and blossoming.
Make my life bring glory to you.
Make my life what you want it to be.
