Perfect in Christ

Perfect in Christ

Perfect in Christ

Do you you feel inadequate somehow? Do you wish you’d be a bit different than you are? Would you like to be a bit less imperfect? I have good news for you today.

Because of Jesus God accepts you as you are. And that’s not all of the good news. It gets better: When you are in Christ, you are made perfect. Outside of Christ you are imperfect, but in Christ, you are perfect.

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. (Col. 2:9-10, NLT)

You are perfect in Christ no matter how imperfect you are in your own eyes or in the world’s eyes. You are complete through your union with Christ.

This is grace in action for you.
This is God’s love for you.

You are perfect in Christ.

Revel in it.
Rejoice in it.

Radically live it out in your life. And share it with others. We are all perfect in Christ.

Gracious God,
Your love and grace…
they are so much more than I deserve.
But I gladly accept them.
Thank you for making me whole through Jesus.
Thank you for making me perfect in Christ.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do you remember that you’re perfect in Christ? How should this knowledge change how you live your life?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you are made whole through Christ!

  1. Radically and unstintingly loved and accepted while at the same time offered all the power of resurrection and life to make needed changes! What a gift! Thank you for these words about our great salvation!
