Tested Faith

Tested Faith

tested faithHere are a few encouraging words for you who are right now going through hard times. Trust God to see you through. Hard times are not fun but the blessings of tested faith are huge. Hang in there. Better things ahead!

My faith was tested when my first husband left me for another woman. Everything but God was taken from me. But I found God was more than enough.

My God will meet your every need out of his riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19, CEB)

We don’t like going through hard times. They hurt and we don’t like to be hurt. But life is life, tough times happen. But even if everything is taken from us, God is always with us. He will never leave us or forsake us.

For God has said,
“I will never fail you.

    I will never abandon you.”

So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,

so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?”
(Hebrews 13:5-6, NLT)

When we run to God and not from him (while we are going through hard times), we are truly blessed. For example, we gain greater intimacy with God. We find out that faith is more than talk. It works because God is real, alive, and faithful.

Tested faith is better than untested faith. Because now we know we can base our life on God. Not just in theory but in practice too. And that changes everything. Talk about courage and boldness in Christ.

So don’t run from hard times. Go through them with God and let God work in your heart. God will not fail you, unexpected blessings will appear.

Tested faith is a blessing itself. But God himself is the biggest blessing of all time.

Gracious God,
I praise you for always being there for me.
I thank you for being all I ever need.
Thank you for showing me I can count on you.
I put my faith and trust in you
and I praise you forever more.
Thank you for showing me what it means to
intimately know you.
Thank you for everything, Lord.
May only Your will happen in my life.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

  1. Good Morning, Mari Anna!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been praying about a way that I could encourage other bloggers who have been encouraging me. Through your ministry, posts, words, comments, and faithfulness—your life has been a blessing to mine, and I wanted others to know about you!

So, I compiled a list of those bloggers who I’ve personally found to be the MOST INSPIRATIONAL on the web.

You are ONE Of these bloggers – in my estimation!

  2. Good Morning, Mari-Anna,
Your post immediately brought to mind Psalm 86:6 – “When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs.” He takes us through the valley. We don’t stay in the valley. And somehow, in His beautiful and miraculous way, when we look back we see that it became a place of growth. Wonderful post today!
