God Invites, You Decide

God Invites, You Decide

God invites, you decideGod decided long, long time ago that he wants to adopt you into his family through Christ. God also decided that he wants you to be the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. God wants you to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by Jesus. All this is said so beautifully in the Message version of the letter to Ephesians:

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. (Eph. 1:3-6, MSG,*)

God decided to do all these beautiful things for you. Everything is ready. Now it is your time to decide how you respond. Do you want to be a child of God through Jesus Christ? Do you want to be the focus of God’s love? Do you want to enter into the celebration of God’s lavish gift-giving by Jesus?

I do. I very much do. And I sincerely hope you join me in this celebration. Nothing better, my friend. Nothing better. You can travel any where in the world and go after all your dreams but nothing compares to Jesus. Nothing compares to be made whole and holy by God’s love.

Be wise as you decide. It is a life-altering decision. But if you say yes to God, he will take you to the high places of blessing in him. You will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams. Not materialistically. But in the ways that truly matters.

Gracious God,
Thank you for wanting to adopt us into your family.
We can’t understand the depth of your love
but we certainly want to be yours.
We want to be the focus of your love.
Become our everything, Lord.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Be praised forever and ever!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: What do you decide? A yes or no to God’s invitation?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you embrace God with everything you’ve got!

  1. Mari-Anna, this is so true > “But if you say yes to God, he will take you to the high places of blessing in him.” Best decision of my life! I will forever be grateful to Him!

  2. I have decided (long ago) to follow Jesus. The only most important and best decision ever. 🙂 Saying a prayer for anyone who passes through this post in coming days. Thank you for this!
