God Directs Your Path

God Directs Your Path

God directs your pathDo you need some encouragement right now? You’ve come to the right place. I have a verse, a quote, and a song for you today to uplift, inspire, and encourage you. It’s always too early to give up. We should never base our decisions on our feelings or circumstances but on God’s promises. God directs your path. You can count on that. Even when it does not feel like it or look like it.

Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. (Psalm 55:22, MSG,*)

Release your burdens

Cast your burdens on the Lord and release them and on’t pick them up after you prayed. Release your burdens and let God find a way for you. God directs your path even when it looks like he had forgotten you. But he hasn’t. Quite the opposite. God has plans to give you a hope and a future.

Basilea Schlink has said “In the darkest of nights cling to the assurance that God loves you, that He always has advice for you, a path that you can tread and a solution to your problem–and you will experience that which you believe. God never disappoints anyone who places his trust in Him.”

When you are in over your head

When things get tough, it is important to stand your ground where hope can be found as Lauren Daigle suggest in her song “O’Lord”. Be blessed by it and stand your ground where hope can be found. God directs your path. Rest in his love and grace.

Though times it seems
Like I’m coming undone
This walk can often feel lonely
No matter what until this race is won
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
I will stand my ground where hope can be found

Oh, O’Lord O’Lord I know You hear my cry
Your love is lifting me above all the lies
No matter what I face this I know in time
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right

Whoa…

Your strength is found
At the end of my road
Your grace it reaches to the hurting
Still through the tears and the questioning why
I will stand my ground where hope can be found!
I will stand my ground where hope can be found!

Oh, O’Lord O’Lord I know You hear my cry
Your love is lifting me above all the lies
No matter what I face This I know in time
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
(Right, so Right)
Make it Right,
(Right so Right)
Make it Right, Right

Let us pray:

Gracious God,
Here our cries.
You know what’s hurting,
what’s trying to keep us down.
Take everything that weighs us down
and make it right.
Lift our burdens, Lord.
Pour out grace upon grace.
Give us hope when we are hopeless,
joy in the midst of hardships,
and light in the midst of darkness.
Be praised forever and ever.
Your love and grace heals us
and leads us home.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do  you believe that God directs your path?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you stake your ground where hope can be found!

* [As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading the Bible in different translations and love comparing them. I have started linking the Bible verses toBiblegateway.com so you can easily read (and compare) them in the different versions I’ve used while preparing each post.].

  1. My favorite part was to release your burdens and don’t pick them back up. Thank you for this inspirational release!
