Alive Forevermore

Alive Forevermore

Alive forevermoreHow does being alive forevermore sound like? I was thrilled to read the word combination in the Bible a couple of days ago. Ever since I’ve been thinking about the awesomeness of it. And how totally dependent we are on Jesus to make it happen. You see, there is no way we can make ourselves alive forevermore. Well, we can’t even make us alive. We can’t take a single breath without God. Human beings are just that: human beings and not makers or creators of life. Even far less we are makers of eternal life. But hey, we don’t have to be because the creator of the universe loves us so much that he has provided us everything to be alive forevermore.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. And He placed His right hand on me and said, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last [absolute Deity, the Son of God], and the Ever-living One [living in and beyond all time and space]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead). (Rev. 1:17-18, AMP, emphasis added)

Do you want to be alive forevermore like Jesus?

Because Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the death, also we can be alive forevermore if we believe in him. This is God’s gift to us, we can never produce it or earn it. No matter how much we’d like to be strong and prove our worth. We are nothing but dust, folks. Our only hope is Jesus. But he delivers. Jesus saves anyone and everyone who put his trust in him. He wants to make you alive forevermore. How do you respond? Do you let him to be born in your heart? When this happens, our life really starts. From that point on we’ll be alive forevermore.

Gracious God,
I don’t know how you do it.
Both of us know that I am nothing
yet you want to save me,
you want to keep me alive forevermore.
Yes, Lord, I receive your gift of grace.
Create in me a new heart,
make me what you want me to be.
Fill me with your life, your grace, your joy.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

  1. Powerful thought for me this morning. Thank you. And, I appreciate your prayer. I can get so wrapped up in the daily stuff, I can lose sight I am alive forevermore. Thank you for this today… just the truth I needed in preparing for this new year. Blessings to you in 2017!
