The Best Guide in the World

The Best Guide in the World

the best guide in the worldI love God for many reasons but one of my favorite things is the fact that he guides me. It’s not just talking. You see, it really happens whether we realize it or not. We are not alone in this world. God is with us and he is ready to help us. The best guide in the world wants to connect the dots for us. And Jesus does not just show us the way. He is the way.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. (Ps. 23:3, NIV,*)

The Best Guide in the World

God loves us and wants to help us with everything. He does not despise us but wants us to get on with our lives. If we let him do what he loves to do: be the best guide in the world, we will be pleasantly surprised. Jesus excels at sorting our things for us. Even though we will never see all that is going on behind the scenes we can praise him for being the best guide in the world. Because he is. Even when things around us seem to get out of our hands, the things are firmly in his hands.

If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. (Ps. 139:9-10, NLT,*)

God will guide us all the way

God does not ‘just’ guide us but he gives us strength and wisdom and grace upon grace. And he does not cut back his support when we need it most. God will guide us all the way, until the very end. So we don’t have anything to worry about. I’m slowly learning to cast my stress on Jesus. It takes some deliberate effort but it does work. God is real, folks. God is real. He is the very best guide in the world. We are truly blessed.

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.(Ps 48:14, NIV,*)

So let’s live like the blessed children of God we truly are. We do not need to know what we will be doing next year or even next day, God knows. And whenever we have concerns about some practical issues, bring them to Jesus. Ask for help. And your will receive. The more you practice this, the more you will trust the process. And the more in love with Jesus you will be. Not just because you get all these blessings in your life. But because you’re slowly learning how wonderful Jesus is. And that, my friend, is heaven on earth.

Gracious God,
Thank you for not leaving us alone here.
You truly are the best guide in the world.
Help us to remember that.
Draw us near to you so
we could learn how wonderful you really are.
Because that’s what we want:
to know you and be known by you.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do you believe God is the best guide in the world? Have you experienced guidance in tangible ways?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you * [As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading the Bible in different translations and love comparing them. I have started linking the Bible verses toBiblegateway.com so you can easily read (and compare) them in the different versions I’ve used while preparing each post.].
