Bring Your Needs to God

Bring Your Needs to God

Bring your needs to God - flowingfaith.comWhat’s your need today? How are you going to go about it? What’s your plan to fill your need? Your answers will reveal a lot about you. Too often we try to be independent until we can’t do it. For some of us, it’s easier to ask for help than others. But even the best human efforts will not help you in all of your needs. You need God, only he can fill all your needs. So bring your needs to God. He can help you.

Bring your needs to God

F.B. Meyer has said, “The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” It’d be tragic to forfeit God’s help. God is more than ready to help you, just ask for his help. God is waiting for you to come to him with your messes, nothing will surprise him. Only God can create something beautiful out of our troubled past. Bring your needs to God.

And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19, AMP)

How would your life change if your first instinct would always be to turn to God? Because that’s where your help comes from. Whenever you have any kind and any size of trouble or need, just turn to God and let him handle it. He is way more qualified to take care of you than you are yourself. It might feel scary to let God rule your life but once you’ve experienced his love and care, you don’t want to manage on your own. Hence, bring your needs to God and be blessed. Time after time.

Gracious God,
Forgive us for trying to manage our lives on our own.
Come and invade our lives, Lord.
Show us the way.
Help us, Lord.
We’ve created some messes again.
Create something beautiful out of our lives.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do you bring your needs to God?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you bring your needs to God.

* [As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading the Bible in different translations and love comparing them. I have started linking the Bible verses toBiblegateway.com so you can easily read (and compare) them in the different versions I’ve used while preparing each post.].

  1. I have seen the beauty God has brought out of my own messes, and I agree, we need to daily go to Him in prayer and for direction.

  2. I know I’m guilty of this: “The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” Thanks for reminding me today to always ask, ask, ask! Have a blessed weekend, Mari-Anna!

    1. Sadly, me too. But the more time we spend in God’s presence, the more we are drawn to Him. So it does get better. And God is always ready to receive us no matter how long it has been. So good to see you, Lisa! Abundant blessings to you!
