Are you after spiritual well-being? Do you want more of God’s grace and peace? Good for you. This means you know what can make your life better and more blessed. So you are ready to choose life over death. Wonderful. But do you know how to go about it? How can you have more of God’s grace and peace? Let’s find out.
Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1:2, AMP)
This Bible verse gets me so excited. First of all, it tells us that special sense of spiritual well-being is possible. And, second of all, it tells us how to go about it, how to get more of God’s grace and peace. It happens when we get to know more intimately God and Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
More of God’s grace and peace
Too often we don’t think it is necessary to get to know Jesus up, close and personal. Or we don’t see the connection between our spiritual well-being and the true knowledge of God and of Jesus. But here is Peter telling us this is exactly the case. He tells us our spiritual well-being will be multiplied to us as we deepen our experience with Jesus.
Did you catch that? There’s room for expansion! We don’t get just a little bit more of God’s grace and peace if we communicate with him regularly. But if we truly get to know Jesus intimately, our spiritual well-being can be multiplied many times over. The better and deeper we get to know Jesus, the more spiritually blessed we become. Just think of how our lives could change for better just because we take time to linger in God’s presence.
This is a no-brainer for me. I want more of God’s grace and peace. Hence I will spend more time with Jesus. Why don’t you join me? I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through us all. Multiplied spiritual well-being ahead! Thank you, Jesus!
Thank you for calling us to you.
We want to linger in your presence,
we want to get to know you personally.
Bless us with more of grace and peace,
bless us with your presence.
Multiply our spiritual well-being,
show us what it means to be truly yours.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Q4U: Are you ready for some more of God’s grace and peace?
Be blessed my fellow pilgrim as you deepen your experience with God and Jesus!
