Serving Him by Sharing

Serving Him by Sharing

Serving Him by sharing

Sometimes people ask me why I’m so driven to share the Gospel and advance the Kingdom of God any way I can. My answer is very simple. It’s all because of God’s love and his amazing grace. You see, I’ve been so cherished and loved by God that I can’t help but love God in return. And that we do by obeying him, following him, serving him by sharing his love and grace with others.

God’s amazing grace has profoundly changed me and I honestly think everyone should know
a) they’re loved as they are,
b) God’s grace covers all their sins when they turn to Jesus,
c) we don’t need to do life alone, God and his people are for us,
d) God offers his grace as power for our life, and
e) when we believe in Jesus, eternal life waits for us.

Serving Him by Sharing

We are all called to live for the Lord, do our best wherever we are and whatever we are doing. When this is our attitude, we don’t have to crave for recognition or rewards at this side of heaven. I do dream of God using me for his glory. So that more and more people could come to know God and his endless capacity to love and care.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Col. 3:23-24, NIV)

We are not all called to serve him by sharing the gospel with words but we are all called to serve him with actions. So, for example, you can wash dishes for God’s glory. We all have a part in God’s plans. That’s exciting. We can all be serving him by sharing our gifts. Not because we have to but because God’s amazing grace first changes us and then sends us to love others as we’ve been loved.

Many of us don’t get paid for what we do for the Lord at this side of heaven. But just know you will never be short-changed when you’re dealing with God. He will bless you and reward you with his presence forever more.

Let’s pray

Gracious God,
Thank you for loving us so, so, so much.
Your grace stirs us to love you back.
Use us for your glory, Lord.
Show us how we can serve you best.
Thank you for taking care of our needs.
Bless us as you see fit.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen

Q4U: How are you serving him by sharing?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you find your way to serve the Lord!
