God’s Promises Will Carry You Home

God’s Promises Will Carry You Home

God’s promises are so many and various that you can be absolutely sure they will never run out and they cover all your needs. Always and forevermore . You can base your life on God’s promises. They will carry you home.

Your promise revives me;
    it comforts me in all my troubles.

(Psalm 119:50; NLT,*)

As R.C. Sproul has said, “faith involves trusting in the future promises of God and waiting for their fulfillment”. So let’s put our trust in God and his promises. We are in so very good hands.

Learning not to worry is one of the blessings comes from believing and trusting God’s promises. With the words of Josh McDowell “Knowing that God is faithful, it really helps me to not be captivated by worry. But knowing that He will do what He has said, He will cause it to happen, whatever He has promised, and then it causes me to be less involved in worrying about a situation.”

God’s Promises Will Carry You Home

How do we do let go of worries? It isn’t easy but the key is to “let God’s promises shine on your problems” as Corrie Ten Boom advice us. It sounds good, you say. But how do you do that? You give your problems to God in prayer. And trust that God will see you through it all. And, rest assured, he will.

The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble;
He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge
and trust in Him. (Nahum 1:7, AMP,*)

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer has said, “God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.”

This is the promise which He Himself promised us—eternal life. (1 John 2: 25, AMP,*)

God does fulfill his promises. All of them. And God’s promises are not only for some super religious people but for all God’s children. Each and every one of them is for you, my friend. Jesus would have come just for you. So rejoice. And cling to Jesus and trust God’s promises to carry you home.

Gracious God,
Thank you for loving us so much that
you have given thousands of promises for us
and that you keep every single one of them.
We surrender to you
and build our live on you and your promises.
Bless us, Lord.
Let us feel your presence today and always.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do you trust God’s promises? How does they change you?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you let God’s promises carry you home to God!
