Encouragement and Inspiration for the Journey
Are you in need of encouragement or otherwise ready for some inspiration? You’ve come to the right place. Not that I, personally, have that kind of power but God’s Word does. So I’ll share with you a Bible verse that is packed with power to encourage and inspire. Isn’t it amazing that just a verse can do that? That’s God’s Word for you: power-packed grace for all who read it; encouragement and inspiration for the journey. Here you are:
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
(Isaiah 46:4, NIV)
This verse reminds us of some of the key elements of our faith. We have a powerful sustainer, God almighty, who is ready to take care of us all the days of our lives. Not only in the past but also today and even to our old age and gray hairs. So no need to be afraid of aging. It is – as everything else – in God’s capable and loving hands.
Encouragement and inspiration for the journey
So, please, do remember: God’s got this. God’s got you covered. No matter what you’re dealing with, God is with you. So there’s no need for fear of anything. Instead, praise God for being your Sustainer. For he will carry you through thick and thin. He will even provide encouragement and inspiration for the journey, just look for it.
And even this day-to-day help is not all God wants for you. He will rescue you, he will provide salvation for you by grace through faith in Jesus. Hence God will take care of you here on earth and he will carry you through death. There’s no other who can do this. And not by brutal force either but by gentle grace. We are blessed indeed.
God’s love is powerful and everlasting. And we are called to live in this love, to bask in it, to revel in it. And to base our lives on it. How can we do that? By trusting him and his promises. Receiving his gifts and remembering that God will sustain us. Also today. Thanks be to God.
Gracious God,
Thank you for being our provider, our sustainer, our rescuer.
Your love is so astounding that it leaves us in awe.
Help us to always remember that you truly want the best for us and you truly keep your promises, also to us.
Be our encouragement and inspiration for the journey, Lord.
Draw us to you each and every day of our lives.
