Do you feel that God’s grace is not for you? That somehow you don’t qualify to receive it? The only way you don’t qualify is that you’re absolutely sinless and hence don’t need it. But there is not a person alive who is sinless. And Jesus pre-approved you personally on the cross. You’re all set to receive grace upon grace.

God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation’s available for everyone! (Titus 2:11, MSG)

Okay, so God’s grace is for you too. How do you go about it? Often we make it more complicated than it is. There’s no paperwork to be filed or tests to pass. And you don’t need to wait for opening hours. God is ready to listen to you 24/7.

This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. (Romans 3:22, NIV)

How to receive grace

So what do you need to do? Just open your heart to God and tell him you want to be his. Submit to Jesus. Ask forgiveness and receive grace upon grace. And then believe what the Word of God says: your sins are truly forgiven in Jesus’ name; you are a beloved child of God.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, NIV)

We need grace every day. No one graduates from the school of grace at this side of Eternity. Grace is not just a pardon it is also the fuel for Christian living. It’s really powerful. And free for all who believe.

This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles, and it equips us to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age. (Titus 2:12, TPT)

When we live in grace every day, we have this power in us enabling us to make the right choices and live joyfully no matter how dark it gets around us. Life with God is amazing just because we get to experience God’s love and grace in so many ways.

So don’t hesitate. Surrender to God and ask forgiveness and grace upon grace. Whether it’s your first time or first time for a while, God is happy to hear from you. He loves you more than you can imagine. And that’s just the beginning.

Dear God,
The Bible tells us grace and salvation are for everyone.
So we want that too.
We surrender to you.
Forgive our sins, Lord. We believe in Jesus and want to be yours.
Pour out grace upon grace and make us new.
Empower us to live the way you want us to live.
Teach us, guide us, bless us.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

P.S.

Know that your sins are forgiven. You might feel elated and free and that’s wonderful. But also know that you might not feel anything special. Either way, you are saved. The Bible tells us. So rest assured, you are safe in Jesus. Walk closely with him. Listen to him, talk to him, abide in him. The Holy Spirit will teach you all that you need to know. Blessings on your journey!
