Choosing to live in limbo is not living. It’s going through the motions and performing life events like you’ve seen others do. Don’t you desire to have a fulfilling life designed especially for you? I bet you do. We all do. Just so you know, it only happens when you fully embrace God and what he is doing in your life. So it’s time to say goodbye to hopelessness and fear and embrace God for all who he is and all he has to offer.

You see, often we’d like to have our cake and eat it too but that way we end up doing things half-heartedly and that does not get us the results we’d like to see. Erwin McManus puts it this way, “You cannot follow God in neutral”. And that’s what most of us try to do, isn’t that true? We try to be Christians in neutral so we’d be saved yet we would still fit in the old circles. But that’s not how it works.

Goodbye to hopelessness and fear

Allen Arnold asked on Twitter about the very same thing, “What good is a new beginning if we are determined to stay the same? What good is a new story, if we stay camped in the old chapter?” Yes. What good does it do to try to follow God in neutral? That way you do not get anywhere and you don’t please anyone, not even yourself.

What’s the point to be a Christian if we are determined to stay the same as before? And what’s the point of God’s story if we insist to stay in the same old rut as before? No point at all, right?

So, don’t do it. Do not choose to live in limbo like you could avoid or achieve something that way. It’s time to say goodbye to hopelessness and fear. Instead, get yourself in gear and start following Jesus. Soon you realize you’re going to places and doing things you never even knew to dream about.

Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. (Luke 9:23, NLT)

Hello to Jesus

Jesus is calling us to follow him. And that does not happen if we stay put. Or look back. In order to follow him, we just need to get ourselves in gear, to say yes to God. He will take care of the rest. God empowers us on our journey. And he knows us personally, he blesses us uniquely and he makes sure we will make it all the way home to him. That’s what I call blessed existence: being saved and loved by God, having a fulfilling life, uniquely mine for the glory of God. It is also offered for you in Jesus. Receive it!

Dear God,
Forgive us for trying to follow you half-heartedly.
We want to be fully yours,
so we surrender our everything to you.
Lead us, Lord, according to your plan.
Thank you for knowing us personally and providing each of us with what we need to have a fulfilling life for your glory.
We love you and we praise you.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen

P.S.

Are you ready to say goodbye to hopelessness and fear? And hello to Jesus? I have not found anything else in this world that can get me from hopelessness into hope, from fear to fearlessness than God’s amazing grace. But it really works. Cling to Jesus, ask and you will receive. It’s time for you to say goodbye to hopelessness and fear by saying hello to Jesus. Be blessed, my friend. Be abundantly blessed.
