Are you anxious, panic-stricken, or fearful? I have good news for you. Even though it might look like it, God’s promises have not changed. You are safe in his arms, he loves you and has great plans for you and all his people. Behold, your God is coming.

Say to those with fearful hearts,
    “Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
    He is coming to save you.”
(Isaiah 35:4, NLT)

You can persevere because of God’s commitment to his people. And when you are his child, God is also committed to you. It’s not about you but about God’s faithfulness, power, and will.

So God will come when the time is right. You can count on that. His trustworthiness is beyond anything in this world. So your God is coming for your rescue. So rest assured, all is well. You can’t mess up things beyond God’s ability to restore.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (1 Peter 5:10, NLT)

Your God is coming

God’s goal for you is to share his eternal glory by means of Jesus. But even this is not all, he also will restore, support, and strengthen you. Mighty powerful verbs, don’t you think?

And we don’t even have to wait until heaven, Jesus wants to come alongside you and restore, support, and strengthen you also today. And every day. That’s how awesome God we have. His mission is to save and sustain his people.

Your God really is coming. He did not just come once but he is continually coming. Jesus is coming. And not just in the distant future but right now, right here. All we need to do is to receive him and his spiritual blessings. To me, it is a no-brainer. I want Jesus so I keep my heart wide open for him. Your God is coming, my friend. Why don’t you let him bless you too?

Gracious God,
Thank you for being active in today’s world.
We have nothing to worry about when you are our King.
Thank you for being our God who continually is coming to us.
We need you, we praise you, and we open our hearts to you.
Restore, support, sustain, and strengthen us to serve you.
May we all share your eternal glory by means of Jesus!
