When the Saints Go Marching in

When the Saints Go Marching in

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! This year I was inspired and touched by his last, prophetic speech. It is amazing and wonderful how God prepares us as to the future. May we all be able to choose to do God’s will over security.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all the courageous saints gone before us I chose “All the Saints Are Marching In” by Bruce Springsteen with The Seeger Sessions Band to be our Melodic Monday song. Take your time and be blessed by this performance. Lord, how I want to be in that number!

We are trav’ling in the footsteps
Of those who’ve gone before,
And we’ll all be reunited,
On a new and sunlit shore,

Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching inLord,
how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

And when the sun refuse to shine
And when the sun refuse to shineLord,
how I want to be in that number
When the sun refuse to shine

And when the moon turns red with blood
And when the moon turns red with blood
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the moon turns red with blood

Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the trumpet sounds its call

Some say this world of trouble,
Is the only one we need,
But I’m waiting for that morning,
When the new world is revealed.

Oh When the new world is revealed
Oh When the new world is revealed
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the new world is revealed

Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Gracious God,
We thank you for being an amazing God.
We thank you for preparing the way back to you.
We thank you for all the courageous saints gone before us.
Grant also to us courage to do your will.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you search for God’s will in your life!
