What do you do when you encounter any kind of problem, frustration or hindrance? Your response speaks volumes about your coping skills. Because, as we all know, full of aforementioned happenings. Life is tough and requires problem-solving skills and fast attitude adjustments if we want to live well. So. What do you do when something unexpected and perhaps unwanted happens? Do you swear, yell or punch someone? Or do you fly to God in prayer?
God, come close. Come quickly!
Open your ears—it’s my voice you’re hearing!
Treat my prayer as sweet incense rising;
my raised hands are my evening prayers.
(Psalm 141:1-2, MSG)
Fly to God in prayer
Do fly to God in prayer because prayer is pretty much the best way to cope with anything. When we welcome God into our life as it is, we can relax and rest as we take refuge in God. Prayer is an awesome way to rise above our circumstances and while we do it we get another perspective on things. We realize we are not alone even in this mess we are in. God is in control and he has a solution that we don’t know about. Hence we can trust our prayers do make a difference and the solution is on the way.
The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. (James 5:16, MSG)
Never underestimate the power of prayer
It’s always more than you can imagine. So don’t live without it. Don’t use prayer as your last resource but as your first response to anything and everything. Then your life will change for better. You get an attitude of thanksgiving and trust and that will change your whole way of life.
Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. (Col. 4:2, AMP)
Whenever you don’t know what to do, fly to God in prayer. If you’re stuck, pray to God. When you’re feeling down, don’t hesitate, fly to God in prayer. If you’ve lost something, pray, God hears you. Prayer is always the answer because it lifts you up into the arms of God. It blesses you in ways than you will never know. Pray your way through troubled waters. Fly to God in prayer daily.
Thanks for giving us the gift of prayer.
Help us to remember it,
make it our first response to anything and everything.
We want to abide in you,
have a continual conversation with you.
Show us how wonderful prayer life can really be.
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Is prayer your last resource or your first response to life? Do you fly to God in prayer? How does it make you feel?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you fly to God in prayer daily!
