Does grace fill your heart with joy? I hope so. We can already live the life of the Spirit here on earth. Do not settle for anything less. Because joy is a gift from God and it has nothing to do with circumstances. But it has everything to do with Jesus.

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing.
You guard all that is mine.

The land you have given me is a pleasant land.
    What a wonderful inheritance!

(Ps.16:5-6, NLT)

The joy of salvation is ours when we come to Jesus. God has blessed us and continually blessings us in so many ways. Truly, only God satisfies us. That’s why our glass is not half empty or even half full but our cup runneth over. Not because life would be easy for us but because of Jesus, we can now experience life with God. And that is not ordinary life but Spirit-filled life. Yet it is not reserved just for some special Christians but it is available for all who believe in the triune God of ours.

I will bless the Lord who guides me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
 (Ps.16:7-8, NLT)

Let grace fill your heart with joy

Once you’ve experienced God’s presence you don’t want to go back to living without God. The Spirit-filled life is the best there is at this side of eternity. That’s why we will not be shaken no matter what happens in this life. We are safe in Jesus, he will lead us home. This life is only the entryway to eternal happiness in heaven.

No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.

    My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead
or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
 (Ps.16:9-10, NLT)

God is so good to us, so no wonder our hearts are glad, right? Have you let grace fill your heart with joy? I hope so because that’s what God wants for all people. God wants all people to enjoy his presence. We don’t even have to wait until we get to heaven to enjoy God. Sure, we don’t yet experience it fully here on earth but it is still wonderful.

You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.
(Ps.16:7-11, NLT)

For those who believe, the spiritual life with God is more real than this life. Our hope is set on the Living God, not on religious performances or earthly treasures. That’s why we press on by faith. It is possible to experience Jesus firsthand. And because of Christ, it is possible to abide in God and live in grace, peace, and joy. All the days of our lives.

Gracious God,
Thank you for loving us and redeeming us.
We praise you for blessing us with your presence.
Teach us to live in your grace, peace, and joy.
Thank you for making our hearts glad.
We love you and thank you for all you do for us.
Bless us as you see fit.
Use us for your glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

P.S.

So, does grace fill your heart with joy? Do not settle for anything less. Seek Jesus, Seek the Holy Spirit. Ask and you will be given. Because when you have Jesus, grace does fill your heart with joy. That’s blessed existence. You can’t find it anywhere else. So stick to Jesus. Be filled with the Spirit. Then the Life of God is in you from here to eternity. Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim. Let grace fill your heart with joy! God is with you. Let his life flourish in you!
