When God Calls YOU out
Everything starts with God.
It’s always God first.
He comes to us.
He pours out his love and grace.
He calls us.
The LORD’s word came to me:
“Before I created you in the womb
I knew you;
before you were born I set you apart;
I made you a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:4-5, CEB
What will you do when God calls YOU out?
Because he does have a plan also for you.
“Ah, LORD God,” I said,
“I don’t know how to speak
because I’m only a child.”
(Jeremiah 1:6, CEB)
What are your limitations?
What are your excuses?
Are you too old, too young?
Or too poor, too rich?
Too educated, too uneducated?
Or do you count on others to do your work?
The LORD responded,
“Don’t say, ‘I’m only a child.’
Where I send you, you must go;
what I tell you, you must say.
Don’t be afraid of them,
because I’m with you to rescue you,”
declares the LORD.
(Jeremiah 1: 7-8, CEB)
It’s not about you.
It’s about God.
It’s not about your ability.
It’s about your availability.
You are not going to work alone.
God will always be with you.
God is not only calling you
but he is also equipping you.
Then the LORD stretched out his hand,
touched my mouth, and said to me,
“I’m putting my words in your mouth.
This very day I appoint you
over nations and empires,
to dig up and pull down,
to destroy and demolish,
to build and plant.”
(Jeremiah 1: 9-10, CEB)
You’ve been called to do God’s work.
Because you have a bold God.
God is getting ready to change the world
and you’ve called out.
What are you going to do about it?
It’s not going to be easy.
But it’s going to be blessed.
God has big and bold plans.
Are you in?
It is all grace.
It’s all God.
It’s all good.
Gracious God,
Thank you for knowing us before we were born.
Thank you for having a plan for us.
Enable us to be bold in our response to you.
Equip us for your service!
May your will happen in this world.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Q4U: Do you ignore you divine vocation or are you open for God’s actions in/through your life? Are you in?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you boldly say ‘yes’ to God’s calling!

Oh, I love this! I will be reading it to our small group this evening.
That’s fabulous, Lyli! Say hello for me! Thank you so much! BLESSINGS!
Exactly the encouragement I needed this morning. Thanks for a great post!
Thanks so very much, Michele! God is good! Rest in his grace!
We need to put our fear out of the way and step out there for God! He will use us anytime, anywhere…we just need to submit ourselves to Him! I love how He seems to relish using people who are “weak” or who don’t think they have any talent. But just like God’s word says, it is through our weaknesses that His strength shows all the more! May we, in our weaknesses, shine brightly for Him!
Thank you, Joan, for your comment love! Yes, fear leads us away from God. Love & boldness leads us to God. May we indeed shine brightly for Him! Stay blessed, sis!
Powerful words! I’m game for following God.
Just read something this morning that reminds me of your post- “If we gaze at the road instead of at him who goes before, we are already straying from the path.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Thank you, TC, for sharing such a powerful Bonhoeffer quote. A perfect addition to the post! Be richly blessed, friend!

Great! Thank you, Angie! Bountiful Blessings!
What a great post! For me, I had always viewed vocation as doing what God wants me to do right now. It is not always easy because He often asks me to leave my comfort zone, but it is during those times that I learn that it is all about His strength and not mine.
Thank you, Sharon, for sharing. Leaving our comfort zones requires full trust in God’s abilities. Then it really is about His Strength! Abundant blessings!
I love the reminder that we have a BOLD GOD! AMEN!! And it’s all about Him. Great words of inspriration – thank you so much!
